* Always double down when you are holding a combination of cards that total the following: - 9 if the casino dealer has a 3, 4, 5, 04 6; - 10 if the dealer has anything but an Ace or a 10; - 11 if the dealer has anything other than an Ace. Do not take insurance unless you are very confident in your card counting skills.

* It does not matter what the dealer is showing, it is always a great idea to split a hand of Aces or 8 cards.
