Blackjack basics: Choosing a table
Many beginner blackjack players probably do not know this but choosing a blackjack table to play in is also an important factor to consider. Choosing the right table for you to play in will likely increase your chances of winning. Before you play the game try to study the available tables in a casino. For players who are new to studying tables, there are several details that they need to pay attention to in order to make the right observations. One of the most important things that you must look at is taking note of the betting limits sign. The minimum and maximum allowable bets should be clearly posted on the sign, which is located on top of the table. Try to locate a table where the size of the bets are something you are comfortable with. Be warned though that usually, the tables with the low limits are usually crowded. Another thing that you should look out for is actually quite obvious and yet many people still make this mistake. That is, you should make sure that the table that you have identified as the one you want to play in is actually for blackjack and not for any other games. One tell-tale sign that makes sure that you have the right table is that there is a sign that will have the phrases “blackjack pays 3 to 2” on the table felt. The next factor you should look at is the kind of game that is being dealt. For beginner players, they would be more compatible with the shoe games that use between six to eight decks.
