Another Blackjack Option In Florida

Blackjack remains at the center of a heated debate on table games that casinos are allowed to offer in Florida. We have been covering this issue for quite some time now and if you remember, the Seminoles have continued to bank on their agreement with Governor Charlie Crist, which states that they are allowed to offer blackjack at their casinos.
Originally, they offered blackjack only at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. This became a bone of contention between the tribe and the state government, the former stating that the latter does not have any jurisdiction over their territory. The issue is still at the table at the moment.
Now, it seems that the Seminoles are taking on a more aggressive stance. In fact, they installed blackjack tables at the Seminole Immokalee Casino. And if the grapevine is to be believed, they are planning on installing blackjack equipment at the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino next.
These moves are sure to stir up another hornet’s nest in the government’s backyard – as if they didn’t have enough to deal with already. Then again, the Seminoles do have a point – they have their old contract to bank on and the Supreme Court does not have jurisdiction over them.
It is a very sticky situation but blackjack lovers are not complaining. In fact, they have had some high profile celebrity figures coming to the casinos to play blackjack. Now in the world can anyone combat that? I think blackjack in the Seminole casinos just might be here for quite some time.
