Elimination Blackjack

How would you like to play a blackjack variation that has some elements of no limit Texas Hold ‘em poker mixed into it? I am sure that if you know anything of both games (blackjack and poker) then you would not hesitate to play this blackjack variation. There is actually one such version that has been played for quite some time now and it is called elimination blackjack.
A lot of you may be familiar with it already as it is the format that was played on the Ultimate Blackjack Tour. Elimination blackjack was actually developed by Russ Hamilton, a poker player who is known best for his 1994 World Series of Poker win in the main event. He beat Hugh Vincent in a heads up play and went home with $1 million and his body weight in silver. Not bad, eh?
Anyhow, elimination blackjack is one of the most exciting variations of blackjack because it is very fast paced and the players play against each other – competing NOT to be eliminated. Different establishments may have their own house rules but here are some general rules that are followed for elimination blackjack:
-With a soft 17 and below, the house must always hit.
-With a hard 17 and above, the house must always stay.
-Six decks is used for the shoe.
-The bet of any player must always stay in between the minimum and maximum table bet.
-There can only be 7 players max at the table.
-There is a time limit of 25 seconds for a player to make his move in a normal hand while in an elimination hand, the limit is 45 seconds.
