So you have been convinced to learn the basic strategy more than you know it at the moment. How about money management? Perhaps you are also working on it. Don’t stop there, though. There are more tips that can help you win money at the blackjack tables. Here they are.

Learn about the true count and the running count…
…and learn how to adjust the size of your bet according to the true count. The idea here is that you should learn how to calculate the true count based on the running count. The formula is actually simple. Divide the running count by the number of decks of the undealt cards and you have the true count. The true count is a good indicator of how favorable the remaining cards are. You do not have to calculate it each and every time – only when you are about to bet. General rule of thumb: as the true count goes up, your bet size should also go up; and as the true count goes down, you bet size should also go down.
