In my previous post, I talked about some things that you should avoid (well, run away from) when at the blackjack table. Those are just three of the long list that many people have. Let me share another batch with you.

Do NOT forget to use non verbal gestures.
We also call them hand symbols, and no, it doesn’t make you look cool nor does it make you look stupid. Hand symbols in casinos have been used for ages for a very good reason. If you sit there and just try to drink in the environment, you will notice that it tends to get NOISY. As such, the dealer might not hear all that you say, and this might cause you to lose. On top of calling your move out aloud, do use hand symbols to make your intent clearer.

Do NOT point your fingers at other players.
Literally and figuratively. I know some blackjack players who would blame anyone and everything else for a loss. I don’t think that it ever occurs to them that their own decisions have led them down that road. Whatever you do, however, do not place the blame on another player at the table. Don’t take the stupid way out of saying that his move cost you a good card or whatever. It just doesn’t work that way and all you will accomplish is having everyone else at the casino NOT respect you.

Do NOT ignore the dealer.
While some people think that every dealer is out to get them, this is simply not true. The dealers have a job and part of that is to make sure that you enjoy your night.
