More often than not, when we play blackjack, we have certain patterns that we’ve developed over time. While they are not all necessarily bad, there are certain things that we have to know in order to comply with the accepted set of behavior that everyone has come to acknowledge. They are not necessarily part of the game rules but everyone knows they are to be followed. Here are some reminders for you.
Do NOT touch your bet once you card has been dealt.
I think some people do this due to nerves. Others do it simply because they do not have anything else to do but wait. Whatever the reason may be, it is not a good thing as it may give off the impression that you are trying to cheat or do something spurious. Even if you have the purest heart in this world, it is better not to touch that bet to be on the safe side.
Do NOT tell another player how to make his move.
While this is not really illegal, imagine how you would feel if another player at the table kept telling you what to do. You – and everyone else – go to the casino to play blackjack and pit your skills with others. The last thing that you need or want is for someone else to make your decisions for you.
Do NOT indulge in alcohol.
No matter how much fun it is to drink, if you want to play a decent game, stay away from alcohol. It is no secret that alcohol can make your decision making abilities go down the drain, and this is the last thing that you would want when playing to win.
